About the Role
Masters Academy International is seeking a dynamic National Team Girls Basketball Assistant Coach responsible for supporting the development of elite student-athletes within our premier basketball program. Working closely with the Head Coach, you will design and implement high-level tactical strategies, lead skill-development sessions, and provide vital mentorship to athletes balancing rigorous academic workloads with top-tier athletic competition. This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and national travel for tournament play.
What You Will Do
You will partner with the Head Coach to lead high-intensity practices, design tactical game plans, and drive individual skill development for our elite student-athletes. You will actively assist in real-time game management, conduct detailed video analysis, and support national tournament travel and logistics. Beyond tactical execution, you will serve as a direct mentor to players, helping them maintain academic accountability and fostering a team culture built on discipline, leadership, and resilience. You will also assist in all aspects for student-athlete recruitment.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor''s degree in Education, Sports Management, Youth Development, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in of competitive basketball coaching experience at the elite high school, varsity prep, or collegiate level.
Expertise: Experience navigating the student-athlete recruitment landscape and a strong network within the youth basketball community; Familiarity with modern sports video-analysis software (such as Hudl or Synergy) and basic digital athletic administration tools.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of advanced basketball concepts, tactical systems, and modern skill-development techniques.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience playing basketball at the collegiate or professional level is highly valued.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Punctuality (arrive early), Reliability (honor commitment), Task orientation (handle assignments expeditiously), Flexiblity (ability to show up for evening workouts and to participate in weekend travel) and Basketball Acumen (previous playing experience and the ability to demonstrate skills and drills).

Compensation and Benefits
This is a part-time role with a salary of $20,000. This position is not benefits eligible.
