The time commitment will vary from 2-10 hours per week based on the season and weather conditions. These individuals will assist with the running of the Metzger Nature Center and support the ONU student-centered courses that take place at this facility.Location Located near Sugarcreek Ohio the ONU MNC is residential 78-acre field station with four primary buildings that supports teaching and learning of up to 20 faculty and students from Ohio Northern University throughout the months of August through May and occasionally throughout the summer.ScopeOhio Northern University ONU is seeking part-time assistance with the grounds and facility upkeep at the ONU Henry and Geraldine Metzger Nature Center.Principal ResponsibilitiesAssist in the maintenance of the Metzger Nature Center grounds.Respond to notifications from the onsite security and fire detection systems.Perform snow removal from driveways when needed.Contact and coordinate local contractors for quotes on repairs and maintenance.Interact with contractors and coordinate outside repairs and maintenance with the MNC director and MNC facility supervisor.Perform basic repairs to infrastructure.Conduct weekly inspections of the infrastructure when classes are not present and inspections after storm events.Maintain facility feeders and wildlife houses.Mowing in selected regions of the property.
