Job Title:NC/CNC Machine Operator - 3rd Shift
Location: Syracuse, New York (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Timing: 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM (3rd Shift)

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled NC/CNC Machine Operator to perform machining operations on numerically controlled equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with CNC machines, blueprint reading, tooling changes, and maintaining quality standards while ensuring operational efficiency during the 3rd shift.

Key Responsibilities

Machining Operations
  • Operate two or more CNC/NC machines to perform precision machining tasks
  • Execute operations based on blueprints, operation sheets, and specifications
  • Load programs, change tooling, and manage automatic tool changes
Setup & Equipment Support
  • Assist in machine setup and calibration as directed
  • Support troubleshooting and correction of machining control malfunctions
  • Ensure proper sequencing of operations for efficient production
Quality Assurance
  • Inspect parts using gauges and measuring instruments
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and tolerances
  • Identify and escalate defects or inconsistencies
Maintenance & TPM Activities
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments
  • Maintain machines and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Ensure proper material handling between workstations
Operational Excellence
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
  • Apply judgment to perform tasks within established processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1+ year of CNC machine operation experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Experience with tooling changes and machine setup support
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
Additional Requirements
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY (No relocation provided)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available)
  • Ability to work 3rd shift (overnight hours)
