Job Summary (List Format) Senior Business Analyst, NC DHHS Data Modernization Project
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and market research to inform project requirements and strategy.
- Identify, document, and analyze current and future state business process workflows.
- Gather, develop, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and test cases for project deliverables.
- Develop business process models, use cases, wireframes, entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and system context diagrams.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including analysis reports, user documentation, and meeting minutes.
- Perform functional and integrated testing; support user acceptance testing (UAT) and system go-live activities.
- Build and document business, stakeholder, solution, and transition requirements; perform gap analyses.
- Ensure requirements traceability through the creation and maintenance of traceability matrices.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business needs.
- Contribute business analysis input to procurement documents and assist in drafting procurement-related documentation (e.g., RFPs, evaluation criteria).
- Follow PMO methodologies and standards for project management and business analysis.
- Attend all required PMO meetings and other project-related activities, including travel within the local Raleigh area.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Project, and SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.
- Apply knowledge of healthcare data reporting systems, state government operations (highly desired), and IT best practices.
- Exhibit strong communication, writing, analytical, creative thinking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Manage complex assignments with multiple work streams and competing timelines, acting independently and demonstrating leadership as needed.
