CNC Programmer
The CNC programmer works within the Engineering Department to create and evaluate existing CNC programs for vertical and horizontal lathes, and multi-axis milling machines.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ability to create and evaluate and improve existing CNC programs for vertical and horizontal lathes, and multi-axis (4-5 axis) milling machines.
- Solid understanding of feeds and speeds for aerospace materials.
- Be a team player for all lean activities continuous improvement projects.
- Tool selection and process layout on a consistent basis, working with customers to ensure work can be accomplished.
- Create shop floor documentation including operation sheets and work instructions
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing techniques
Special Skills:
- Must be accustomed to deadlines and accountability
- Experience with complex aerospace parts including milling and turning processes
- Unigraphics NX experience
- Lean manufacturing techniques
- Effective time management skills including multi-tasking
- Ability to read blueprints. Speak and write reports in English.
- High attention to detail.
- Develop and follow procedures.
