Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services around the US, Canada and Europe.
We have been in business in Seattle in the US for nearly 20 years and in Europe for around 8 years.
We have several immediate openings for NC Programmers with our client in the Eastern WA area who specialize in custom built automation equipment for the Aerospace/Pharma/Construction/Food industries.
Responsibilities:
- Review 3D CAD design blueprints.
- Evaluate all fabricated parts' designs to validate their functions and ensure their manufacturability and quality output.
- Communicate with design engineers for design review on new parts.
- Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program.
- Develop CNC programs in CATIA & Vericut, for Mill & Lathe and mill 3, 4, and 5 axis from 2d drawings and 3d models.
- Analyze job order and make necessary calculations for programming, including raw materials dimensions.
- Determine sequence of operations in a program.
- Analyze and select speeds, feeds, and cutting tools for programs.
- Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software.
- Check completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Create instructions for machinists.
- Provide machining details and time estimates for development of engineering masters.
- Design tooling and fixtures for machining of parts.
- Recommend custom tooling for parts.
- Modify existing programs and methods for increased efficiency, like reducing setup times for a task, simplifying tooling time for workers, and machining of complex shapes
- Review all programs to make sure they follow print instructions, and safely and successfully complete the task.
- Maintain log of CNC programs and setup sheets.
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations, and report any safety problems to management.
- Intermediate use of Visual MRP system, AutoCAD, Inventor and MasterCam.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
- Associate's degree/certificate in CNC programming, a computer-related field or a mechanical field.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer programming or computer-related field is a plus.
- 5-10 years' experience and/or training in NC programming.
- 5-10 years of programming skills for mill and lathe/multislide for 3-5 axis.
- MasterCam, AutoCAD, Inventor software experience, a plus.
