General Notes

Longhorn TIES Neurodivergence Support coordinates and facilities neurodiversity initiatives at UT Austin. Longhorn TIES encompasses TIESplus and drop-in neurodivergent student support services, NDatUT campus wide programming and events, presentations, and trainings and more

Purpose

Student liaisons will support our NDatUT programs and initiatives. As a student liaison, you will have the opportunity to assist in the design, planning and execution of NDatUT programming including but not limited to neurodiversity socials, mixers, tabling events, Fidget Fridays and more!

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the NDatUT student liaison at campus wide programming geared towards neurodivergent students, including but not limited to neurodiversity socials, mixers, tabling events, Fidget Fridays and more.
  • Assist with event set up and break down, student engagement at events and campus and community outreach and promotion of events.
  • Act as an ambassador for neurodivergence related programming and initiatives at UT Austin through resource sharing, tabling, campus presentations and more.
  • Collaborate and work within a team (fellow NDatUT Liaisons and Longhorn TIES staff).
  • Assist with campus program collaborations between campus departments and other internal and external entities.
  • Assist in creating evaluation tools to measure programmatic attendance and success.
  • Work in compliance with all university, departmental, and programmatic policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Complete and submit all required documentation within requested timeframes.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin
  • Experience with coordinating and/or assisting with student programs/events
  • Attendance at weekly team meetings on Fridays from 12-1pm in the Student Services Building

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of neurodivergence and disability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a team member.

Salary Range

  • $12.00 per hour

  • This position will be hybrid at the SSB.

Work Shift

  • Up to 5 hours per week including attending weekly NDatUT Liaison meetings.
  • Serve as a NDatUT liaison at a minimum of 3 NDatUT events each term
  • Some night and weekend hours
  • This position will start in Fall 2026 with the possibility of continuing employment beyond the 2026-2027 academic year.
