Job description:Inova Staffing is searching for a NDT tech for one of our clients on the west side of Cleveland. This is a direct hire 1st or 2nd shift position.
1st M-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm
2nd M-Thur 3:30pm-1:30am

The NDT tech is responsible for ensuring the quality of welds through comprehensive inspections, adhering to industry standards and contractual specifications. The role involves providing detailed data and drafting reports that meet NDT inspection criteria for our valued customers. Preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection, and Test Reports will also be within the scope, along with reviewing and certifying final documentation.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency as a minimum NDT Level I/II, with a minimum of 600 logged hours in any two of the following areas: Visual, Dye Penetrant (Type I and Type II), Magnetic Particle (Dry Method & Wet Method). You'll be responsible for setting up and executing NDT test procedures, interpreting specifications, and providing guidance to trainees. Strong written communication skills are essential for preparing instructions and reporting examination results. Flexibility is key as you'll work both independently and collaboratively to support team members and fulfill other job-related tasks as needed.
What We're Looking For:
  • ASNT-TC-1A certification in two or more NDT Methods: Visual Examination (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT).
  • Previous Level II Certification to ASNT-TC-1A with documented classroom and on-the-job training experience.
  • Preferably certified as a Level II in Visual Examination (VT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), and Magnetic Particle (MT).
  • Current AWS CWI certification is a plus.
  • Experience in inspecting metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
