The NDT Inspector Level II plays a key role in maintaining high-quality standards while complying with GA Telesis processes. The NDT Inspector Level II is responsible for ensuring that inspections are performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction, NDI Manual of GA Telesis CRG and/or ASTM requirements as applicable.
**Important Notice: Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities:
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination
Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employer
Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the customer policies and procedures
Analytical skills: must be able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solving
Verify that routine inspections and checks the NDI equipment are accomplished as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids used to perform inspections, are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Level II Certification in either MT, PT, ET, UT, RT
