You will oversee other technicians on assignments, make technical decisions related to project timelines, and carry out laboratory and metals testing tasks with minimal oversight. Your role will involve fieldwork, which may include safely ascending steel structures like buildings, cell towers, and water tanks to heights over 200 feet, using fall protection gear and personal fall arrest systems.ResponsibilitiesField Operations: Perform inspections and utilize non‑destructive testing techniques to maintain high‑quality standards. A large portion of your field inspection time is dedicated to NDT activities such as ultrasonic testing (UT) of welds and magnetic particle testing (MT) of welds.Assignment Management: Coordinate testing assignments across various projects, ensuring the success of each one.Equipment Maintenance: Keep testing equipment operational and calibrated; manage field and lab equipment inventories, maintain formal calibration records, and participate in quality system audits.Comprehensive Reporting: Create detailed reports to effectively communicate findings.The position will require 50+ hour work weeks during periods of peak workload, as well as off‑shift and weekend work, as required. Experience in Safety, DDC, NDT, and/or Radiation Training is a plus.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage demanding workloads.
