Rapid Run Logistics LLC is looking for a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our growing team in Iowa. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments, dialysis centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities
Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and documentation in compliance with company standards
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness
Communicate professionally with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and passengers
Follow all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines, and patient confidentiality protocols
Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times to ensure on-time service
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with wheelchair lift-equipped vehicles or passenger assistance preferred
Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management skills
Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with elderly or disabled passengers
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Basic knowledge of Cedar Rapids area roads and navigation tools
