Position Details:
Join a highly skilled neonatal APP team at a community hospital where collaboration, strong team dynamics, and meaningful patient and family connections are at the heart of care. This role offers a unique blend of well-baby nursery and NICU coverage, including daily patient management, admissions, discharge planning, and attendance at high-risk deliveries. Providers enjoy a high level of autonomy with independent in-house coverage after 4 PM, backed by 24/7 neonatology support. Practice at the top of your license while performing advanced neonatal procedures, including intubation, umbilical line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tubes, thoracentesis, and neonatal resuscitation.

Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner Role Scope:
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
Advanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
