Job Description

Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, CA is seeking a Neonatologist to provide expert care and consulting services in neonatal medicine!

This per diem position is at a 25-bed, Level III community NICU for a board-certified neonatologist, preferably with at least 2 years NICU experience after fellowship training, though recent fellowship graduates are welcome to apply.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Coverage of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit providing comprehensive care. • Fosters an environment that supports performance improvement activities within the patient care settings and provides appropriate reports as requested. • Maintains and enhances the support of quality patient care by identifying and implementing strategies working collaboratively with the entire care team. • Will provide education to physicians, nurses, and other ancillary medical personnel.

Position Details

This position will be on an Independent Contractor Agreement.

Pay Range: $150/hour

Qualifications

Medical Degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certification (or eligibility) in Pediatrics and Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.

Unrestricted California license as Physician.

Ability to meet eligibility and credentialing requirements of Torrance Memorial Medical Center Medical Staff Membership and of Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation.

Commitment to developing and fostering a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.

Demonstrated competence in continuous quality improvement processes.

Evidence of exceptional clinical, and professional accomplishment.

Computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows and/or a comparable operating system that sufficiently provides for access to patient and other business information.
