Role: NetSuite Developer Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week) Contract Duration: 6 months Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri) Work Hours: IST (Ability to work until at least 12:00 PM CT to ensure overlap with the existing team) Location: 100% Remote - Candidates can work form anywhere in India Experience 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years building on the NetSuite platform. Hands-on experience writing SuiteScript 2.x in production, and comfort reading, debugging, refactoring, and modernizing SuiteScript 1.0. Demonstrated experience improving performance of scripts, saved searches, or scheduled jobs - ideally with before/after metrics. Experience with SuiteFlow workflows, saved searches, SuiteQL, and core NetSuite administration tasks. Technical Skills Strong JavaScript fundamentals across both ES5 and modern JavaScript (ES2015+). Working knowledge of SuiteScript module types (User Event, Client, Suitelet, Map/Reduce, Scheduled, RESTlet, Workflow Action, Portlet) and their governance limits. Comfortable with saved searches, SuiteQL, and SuiteScript N/query and N/search modules; able to choose the right one for the job. Familiarity with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), version control (Git), and basic CI/CD practices. Basic security principles: least privilege, authentication vs. authorization, secure handling of credentials and PII, and awareness of common vulnerability classes. Basic database design principles: normalization, keys and relationships, indexing intuition, and understanding query cost. Ability to choose an appropriate algorithm or data structure (Map/Set vs. array scans, sorting vs. repeated linear search, batching vs. per-record processing) as a deliberate optimization. Nice to Have Prior experience leading SuiteScript 1.0 to 2.x migrations or large NetSuite refactors with measurable debt reduction. Experience designing and running data archival, purge, or retention strategies in a high-volume NetSuite or other ERP environment. Workday experience (HCM, Financials, integrations, or reporting) - a strong bonus but not required. Experience with integration platforms (Boomi, Celigo, MuleSoft) connecting NetSuite to other systems. Exposure to other ERP, CRM, or financial systems in an enterprise environment. Certifications NetSuite SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer II, or NetSuite Administrator certifications preferred but not required.
