Our client is seeking a Network Administrator to play a critical role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and high‑performing IT infrastructure across a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for administering and supporting network hardware, software, security systems, and connectivity across multiple sites. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support users in a fast‑paced, production‑driven setting.

Responsibilities:

Network Setup & Maintenance

  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and uptime.
  • Maintain and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network environments.
  • Install, configure, and manage network hardware including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.

Security & Access Control

  • Administer user access, authentication, and permissions.
  • Conduct regular security audits and apply patches and updates.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and compliance requirements.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Provide technical support to end users and IT team members.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, outages, and helpdesk escalations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and incidents.

Performance Optimization

  • Assist in planning for network expansion and scalability.
  • Analyze network traffic and usage patterns to identify improvements.
  • Recommend and implement system upgrades and enhancements.

Team & Operational Support

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical users.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to support infrastructure across multiple facilities.
  • Participate in after‑hours support for production‑impacting issues, maintenance windows, and upgrades.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN/VPN administration.
  • Strong communication skills for user support and documentation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or Network Engineer.
  • Experience with firewalls, routing, switching, and network monitoring tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Arista switching experience or Arista ACE Level 2.
  • Experience with ArubaOS wireless environments.
  • Fortinet firewall experience or Fortinet Certified Associate.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or multi‑site environments.
