Job Summary and Qualifications

The Network Administrator is responsible for the implementation, operations, and day-to-day management of the organization's  infrastructure, including networks, storage, compute, and security, as well as related/supporting services on-prem and cloud.

This position has responsibility for the overall systems health and operations, to include systems planning and design. This position is a key role in IT being a service provider for and supporting all of the organizations technical services.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Responsible for Monitoring, Maintenance, Operations, Troubleshooting, Implementation/Installation of Network Systems, including but not limited to Servers, Switches, Routers, Storage/SAN, Virtualization Platform, LAN/WLAN/WAN connectivity, Interfaces/Devices, Firewalls, Security Appliances, Hybrid/Cloud Connectivity.

• Maintains inventory of all systems, including licensing and maintenance needs/scheduling

• Responsible for Operations/Security of On-Prem Active Directory and Azure Entra ID

• Responsible for Operations/Security of all common SAAS and On Prem Applications (Such as Office 365)

• Responsible for Backup operations, performs regular testing and verification.

• Responsible for second level support, will regularly/daily participate in first level support as needed.

• Responsible for execution and testing of Disaster Recovery procedures.

• Challenge and develop, improve/propose current procedures and systems, work closely with Director of IT providing visions and relevant information to improve overall user experience and efficiency.

• Seeks self-development via education/training or knowledge-transfer sessions; internally, with vendors, and by requesting/suggesting training paths and programs.

• Occasional travel, this may include visits to customer sites.

• Participate in on-call and out-of-hour response as needed.

• Ability to participate in unscheduled emergency operations, reaction to issues and troubleshooting.

• Will be required to participate in planned night and weekend maintenance.

• Flexibility and other duties as assigned.

DESIRED EPXERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires 3 years of relevant experience in business IT

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or Equivalent added experience.

• Requires strong knowledge of system infrastructure, servers, networking, storage, virtualization, security systems, virus protection, backups, active directory, Windows Server, business WiFi.

• Desired added Experiences:

o Cisco: L2/L3 Networking, UCS, Wireless Controllers, Fibre-Channel

o Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, VPN, S2S, SDWAN

o Storage and Backup: EMC DataDomain, PureStorage, Commvault, Zerto

o MDM Intune/WorkspaceOne, MacOS, Linux, iOS, Android

o Cloud: Azure, GC, AWS, SSO/SAML/Oauth

o Security, Sentinel1, Delinea, Encryption, Certificate management, Change Control, MS Sentinel, Site24x7

o Command Line Shells, Scripting/Development, Telecom

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, computer and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations, as well as scheduled night and weekend work. Occasional travel may be required
