Job Summary
JCS Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Network Administrator serving as a senior-level technical expert responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of complex enterprise network environments. This role supports mission-critical operations within a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure. The position requires advanced troubleshooting capabilities, leadership in resolving complex network issues, and collaboration with higher-level support organizations.

What you will do:  
  • Monitor network systems for alarms, performance issues, and outages, taking corrective action or escalating as needed
  • Troubleshoot network issues using standard procedures and script-based methods
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex routing, switching, security, and encryption issues
  • Perform packet capture and root cause analysis to identify and resolve network incidents
  • Interface with higher-level support organizations (e.g., 26th NOS/DISA) during outages or degraded performance
  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed
  • Maintain required security posture for all network systems, including applying updates, STIGs, and IOS-XE upgrades
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot TACLANE devices (e.g., KG-175 series) to secure data across classified and unclassified networks (SIPRNet/NIPRNet)
  • Design, coordinate, and support installation and acceptance testing of network systems
  • Monitor and maintain network hardware configurations and performance
  • Plan and implement network enhancements and upgrades, including cost/benefit analysis
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and compliance documentation
  • Support special projects and daily operations as assigned
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Participate in on-call rotation and operational support coverage

What you will bring: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7–10+ years of network engineering experience, including large-scale enterprise environments
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience diagnosing and resolving complex network hardware and transmission issues
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNP Enterprise or Security)
  • Proven experience in DoD or defense contractor environments (required)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) for deployment, fabric management, and automation
  • Strong expertise in Cisco ISE (802.1X architecture, policy creation, troubleshooting)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting HAIPE/TACLANE devices
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies
  • In-depth understanding of DISA STIG compliance requirements
  • Experience designing, installing, and testing high-speed secure networks

At JCS Solutions, compensation is based on a number of factors such as location, qualifications, and applicable contract terms. The general salary range for this position is as follows $109,000-$114,000.
