Reports to: Director of Information SystemsJob Goal: Install, repair and troubleshoot computers and peripherals.Work Year: 12 month positionSalary and Benefits: $90-120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Maintain and monitor all servers and networking equipment.2. Perform network and system administration functions that include, but are not limited to:a. Backing up of all server datab. Maintain equipment server and networking inventoriesc. Maintain wired and wireless network infrastructured. Manage replacement schedule for all servers and network equipment3. Operate and maintain internet connections, Email systems, and firewall.4. Manage network security including anti-virus, spyware and intrusion software and devices.5. Manage accounts to access core district services.6. Design and implement network infrastructure to ensure continuity of services for the district.7. Maintain relationships with other town entities to ensure school needs are met and issues fixed in a timely fashion.8. Regularly evaluate current network and server technology to determine sufficiency for district needs.9. Track and report on the usage of systems on a scheduled basis.10. Troubleshoot and repair network outages and configuration problems.11. Maintain a working knowledge of special networks and connectivity to support the HVAC and building security communication as required by the Facilities department.12. Develop and implement a toolset for technical staff to improve day-to-day workflow and time to resolution for tech tickets.13. Forensic style investigation of incidents including, but not limited to, network techniques and file level investigation.14. Forecast, plan, and implement needs through tools and industry input to keep district network and servers running and sufficient in capacity.15. Look at district processes and recommend automation. Meet with stakeholders to facilitate move to automated processes freeing up staff resources.16. Perform any other such duties as may be assigned by the Chief Information Officer.Essential Functions of the Job:Must possess the ability to:1. Troubleshoot and repair Microsoft operating systems.2.
