Job Summary:
Advanced Network Architect is responsible for leading the design, strategy, and support of network infrastructure with a primary emphasis on Operational Technology (OT) systems-including core, distribution and edge devices modelling for all systems including CCTV, PA systems, CBTC, Bus Radio, power, cyber security, other train and bus operations system and applications. This role is OT focused architect, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant operational systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and modeling for long-term planning of OT network components, for 24x7 operational reliability and regulatory compliance. Provide specialized technical guidance to operations teams on OT projects. Identify and provide solutions for OT-specific systems that include all concepts cybersecurity and operational continuity to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Collaborate with IT to integrate OT and IT systems, maintaining strict segmentation and security protocols. Develop and maintain network standards and modeling reference documentation. Provide responsible solution that have return on investment that help the organization save money and produce increasing results through innovative ideas utilizing networking equipment, software, and technology, making strategic decisions to maximize value. Lead and coordinate OT network solutions, presenting strategies to management. This role is designed to drive innovation in both OT and IT, capture and analyze maintenance information, support upgrade old legacy systems to provide highly extensible and resilient solution.
Advanced Network Architect (OT Lead)
1) OT Network Design & Modeling
Lead the design, modeling, and long-term planning of OT network components (core, distribution, edge devices) for systems including:
CCTV, PA, CBTC, Bus Radio, power, cybersecurity, and other train/bus operations.
Ensure 24x7 operational reliability and regulatory compliance.
2) Technical Guidance & Solutions
Provide specialized technical guidance to operations teams on OT projects.
Identify and deliver solutions for OT-specific systems, addressing cybersecurity and operational continuity.
3) Integration & Security
Collaborate with IT to integrate OT and IT systems, maintaining strict segmentation and security protocols.
4) Standards & Documentation
Develop and maintain network standards and modeling reference documentation.
5) Innovation & Value Optimization
Provide solutions with strong return on investment, leveraging innovative ideas and strategic decisions to maximize value.
Lead and coordinate OT network solutions, presenting strategies to management.
6) Legacy System Modernization
Drive innovation in both OT and IT, capturing and analyzing maintenance information.
Support upgrades of old legacy systems to deliver highly extensible and resilient solutions.
7) Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with Networking, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and Procurement
Translate complex modernization concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
Participate in strategic planning, network strategy sessions, and solution design workshops.
Extensive Experience in Network OT
Network Design & Administration
-Advanced experience designing, modeling, and optimizing core, distribution, and edge devices for OT environments
-Long-term planning for highly available, resilient, and scalable OT network architectures supporting 24x7 operations.
Network Virtualization & Wireless Technologies
-Strong understanding of network virtualization, wireless networking, and segmentation
-Integration of wireless and wired OT networks for seamless operational coverage.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Advanced skills in applying cybersecurity principles to OT environments
Enterprise Architecture Modeling
-Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools (e.g., Abacus) for scenario planning, impact analysis, and communicating complex architectures
-Development and maintenance of OT network standards, patterns, and reference architecture
