Responsibilities:

Will work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair various data/fiber networks, and provide maintenance of a large-scale network/fiber system, ensuring operational status.

  • Install, maintain, and repair cable systems, most often involved with internet services
  • Install, label and terminate twisted pair cable (Cat6) and fiber optic cabling systems
  • Install various support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, Innerduct, and other
Qualifications:
  • HS 3-4 years
  • Communication skills with the ability to successfully collaborate with other members of the team
  • Ability to work at heights and lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred

  • 3 to 5 years+ experience in installing and terminating twisted pair cable (Cat 6)
  • 3 to 5 years+ experience in installing and terminating fiber optic cable (single mode and multi mode) using a fiber splicer and terminating ST/SC/LC connectors using a 3M hot melt kit.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard cable specifications

There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
