Desktop / Network Support Technician (Confidential Government Client)
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite – Financial District)
Duration: Approximately 1 Year Contract
Start: End of June 2026
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Sigma Systems is seeking an experienced Desktop / Router / Network Support Technician for a long-term onsite engagement supporting a confidential international governmental office located in downtown Boston.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting end users, troubleshooting desktop environments, and maintaining network/router connectivity within secure or professional office settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite desktop and technical support to office staff and end users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues
  • Support routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and basic network infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Perform user account support and system troubleshooting
  • Escalate and coordinate complex technical issues as needed
  • Maintain documentation and support tickets
  • Assist with office technology setup, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Experience in desktop support, help desk, or IT support environments
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, routers, switches, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite setting
  • Prior experience in government, embassy/consulate, secure facilities, or international organizations is a plus
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus

Preference:

  • Preference may be given to candidates familiar with Indian languages/cultural environments due to the nature of the supported office environment

Location: Onsite near downtown Boston
Duration: 12-month contract
Start Date: Targeting late June
