Network Engineer Aruba (Part-Time, Milpitas, CA)
We are looking for a Network Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will act as an extended member of the customer team to support the account on a daily basis. Holds an intermediate background in networking and hardware Aruba Controllers, Airwave servers, and ClearPass Servers.
This is a 6-month contract project (Extension Possible), 20 hours per week, on-site role in Milpitas, CA.
This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine checks on the network to ensure it is up to standards.
- Support HPE Employees with setting up Layer 1, physical connections.
- Be able to update and modify documentation and processes.
- Work with HPE Employees to resolve Connectivity issues in lab effectively and efficiently.
- Identify potential issues and monitor/update the tasks.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of work experience in a related field.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.
- Wireless experience: Controllers and Access Points
- Knowledge of hardware requirements for HPE Aruba product portfolio: Switching, Routing,
- Wireless AP and IAP, Controllers, SD-WAN, HPE Aruba AirWave, Aruba ClearPass and, Aruba Meridian
- Familiarity of networking (LAN-WAN-WLAN).
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
- Basic business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, ownership, change management skills, team player and collaborates with product and support teams.
- Experience working in a fast-paced multi-vendor environment involving quick
- turnaround time.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
