Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.

• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).

• Monitor network performance using various tools and proactively identify and resolve network issues.

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists.

• Conduct packet analysis using tools like Wireshark to diagnose and resolve network problems.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with other IT team members to ensure smooth operations and project success.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a network engineering role.

• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other core protocols.

Skills

• CCNA Certification is required.

• Proven experience with network design and implementation.

• Strong understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).

• Proficiency in switching technologies (VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol).

• Experience with network security principles and practices.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with network monitoring tools.

• Ability to perform configuration management and version control.

• Experience with packet analysis using tools like Wireshark.

• Working knowledge of Python scripting for automation and network tasks.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience with specific vendor technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).

• Familiarity with network automation tools and techniques.

• Fluency in Urdu.
