Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating LAN, WAN, and Datacenter network solutions, with an emphasis on routing, switching, security controls, and DDoS mitigation. The engineer will participate in enterprise-wide initiatives, execute network changes through formal change control processes, and ensure high availability, performance, and security across the network.
Responsibilities:
Execute network changes through established enterprise change control processes.
Proactively identify and mitigate risk by addressing capacity, performance, and system-related issues.
Participate in enterprise-level projects, providing engineering expertise throughout the lifecycle.
Responsible for network design, peer review, implementation, testing, validation, and documentation.
Research and apply industry best practices to improve network reliability, security, and scalability.
Provide operational support and troubleshooting for complex network issues.
Participate in an on-call rotation, with flexibility to support the environment beyond normal business hours as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Experience designing and implementing LAN, WAN, and Datacenter network solutions in a large enterprise environment.
Experience with IP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and Static routing, with a focus on DDoS mitigation strategies and ACL configuration.
Network Engineering experience or equivalent.
Experience configuring and supporting modern routing and switching platforms, including Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product lines.
Operational and technical knowledge of network security controls, including ACLs, VRFs, DDoS Virtual Connect, and related technologies.
CCNA, CCNP/DP, or CCIE (Datacenter) certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical design and engineering documentation.
Experience with automation and scripting using YAML, Python, Ansible, and GitHub.
Experience working in a Product or Agile environment, including use of Atlassian Jira tools.
Familiarity with change management processes, including ServiceNow.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clear documentation.
Proven interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Visio Professional.
Experience collaborating with regulatory and audit teams.
Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a high-volume hosting or enterprise environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to coordinate, document, and drive flawless execution across initiatives.
