General Responsibility
Design, implement, maintain, secure, and support enterprise network infrastructure in accordance with SLED standards and industry best practices. Serve as a senior technical resource for network architecture, routing, switching, firewall administration, wireless infrastructure, VPN technologies, and network security initiatives. Coordinate with server, security, desktop support, and application teams to evaluate infrastructure requirements, implement secure solutions, and support operations. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, recommend improvements, and assist with maintaining a secure and resilient enterprise environment.
Specific Duties
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelors degree in information technology systems, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology systems or a related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year-for-year basis.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless systems, and network security technologies.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, VXLAN, BGP, ISE, RADIUS, 802.1X, Cisco technologies, firewall administration, and disaster recovery networking.
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues, maintain technical documentation, support critical infrastructure systems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Position is subject to travel, including overnight travel.
Position requires participation in a 24/7 infrastructure support on-call rotation.
