MANTECH seeks a motivated career and customer-oriented Network Engineer II to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.

As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory, research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighters effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex network solutions that drive innovation
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve advanced network issues quickly and efficiently
• Optimize network performance and security to meet the highest standards
• Mentor junior network engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering growth
• Participate in strategic planning to shape the future of our network infrastructure
• Provide technical expertise in the management of a public and/or private network, such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), and public switched telephone networks
• Plans, designs, installs, maintains, monitors, analyzes, troubleshoots, modifies, and supports network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent education and years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelors degree
• 5 years of experience in network engineering
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
• Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
• Experience in multi-level security networks, including cross-domain solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications, such as CCNP or equivalent
• Masters Degree
• Knowledge of automation and scripting tools, such as Python or Ansible
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Project management skills to lead initiatives from start to finish
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of critical projects

Clearance Requirements

• Must have a current and active TSSCI clearance.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
