Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

 

Entarian is seeking an experienced Network Engineer - FCAPS / NetOps Tooling sites to design, implement, automate, and maintain LAN infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications and enterprise capabilities. The Network Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing network operations using the FCAPS framework (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, and Security). This role ensures reliable network performance, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement across enterprise network environments.

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor network health using NMS tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetBrain, Spectrum, SevOne)
  • Detect, diagnose, and resolve network faults and outages and escalate critical incidents and support root‑cause analysis
  • Document incident trends and corrective actions and assist with compliance audits and documentation
  • Maintain accurate device configurations across routers, switches, firewalls, and controllers
  • Track configuration baselines and network topology updates
  • Support automation for configuration deployment and backups
  • Monitor key network performance indicators (latency, packet loss, throughput)
  • Identify degradations and optimize network performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure SLA compliance
  • Recommend upgrades and performance enhancements
  • Support security standards across all network operations and monitor for anomalies, unauthorized access, and policy violations
  • Apply patches, updates, and remediation steps in coordination with security teams
  • Maintain operational visibility across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud networking
  • Work closely with engineering teams on incident resolution and long‑term improvements

 

 

Salary range: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance (TS/SCI preferred depending on program requirements).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience FCAPS framework and NetOps workflows
  • Experience with NMS tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA, NetScout, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA, CCNP, Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, deployments, and technical activities.
