Overview:

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Network Engineer to support an on-site engagement in Hershey, Pennsylvania. 

Position Overview:

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing management of enterprise-level network infrastructure in a large-scale campus environment. This role will focus heavily on network migration activities, day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable connectivity across critical infrastructure systems while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities:
  • Support the migration of enterprise network infrastructure to HP Aruba environments.
  • Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise-level data center and campus network infrastructure.
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technologies, and related network systems.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for Aruba and Extreme switching and wireless environments.
  • Support Palo Alto firewalls, Infoblox DNS, and Mitel phone system technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues across infrastructure environments.
  • Maintain and support network protocols including TCP/IP, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, IEEE 802.1x, SD-WAN, multicast, and Wi-Fi protocols.
  • Follow network security best practices and support secure infrastructure operations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to support ongoing IT initiatives and projects.
  • Assist with the completion of IT infrastructure projects within a mid-to-large-scale network environmen
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a network engineering or related infrastructure role.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level data center and campus network infrastructure.
  • Strong proficiency with TCP/IP, VxLAN, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, IEEE 802.1x, SD-WAN, multicast, and Wi-Fi protocols.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Experience supporting Aruba and Extreme switching and wireless environments.
  • Experience supporting Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise network security best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support a wide range of infrastructure technologies in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting and completing IT infrastructure projects in mid-to-large-scale environme
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience participating in enterprise network migration projects.
  • Experience with HP Aruba network implementations and migrations.
  • Experience supporting Infoblox DNS environments.
  • Experience supporting Mitel phone systems.
  • Previous experience working in large campus or educational environments.
