About the ARC:The Advanced Research Center (ARC) is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facility located in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL. The ARC is a Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) facility designed and operated to support Missile Defense System (MDS) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Ground Test (GT) and Flight Test (FT) activities.

About the Position:We are seeking a Engineer to collaborate with the Network Team to maintain missile defense ground test lab operations for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at the Advanced Research Center (ARC) in Cummings Research Park. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of simulated ground test systems, HWIL, and network administration within a modeling and simulation environment. Other duties include troubleshooting, managing routers and switches, and configuration of equipment. This position will report to the Network Team Lead.Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field or equivalent experienceDoD 8570 IAT level II cert or higher (ie. Security+ CE) and ability to maintainExperience troubleshooting and managing communications network systemsUnderstanding of Department of Defense security as it pertains to networkingAbility to adapt to change and provide courses of action for problem solvingAbility to approach new challenges creativelyMin 5 years of experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) EnvironmentExperience in test and/or BMDSKnowledge of Physical and Virtual Switching / Routing environments, common network protocols, and dynamic routingKnowledge of Cisco hardware and systemsExperience in data center design, rack layout, electrical requirements and cooling requirementsExperience working in secured spaces

Security Clearance Requirements:

Secret clearance required.
