The Network Engineer is responsible for shaping and evaluating the organization's security strategy, architecture, and practices across enterprise networks.
They translate business goals and risk management into security processes supported by technologies and services.
Leadership skills are essential to advise and support various teams, participate in incident response, risk reviews, and vulnerability assessments, and identify threats to recommend cost-effective solutions.
They will implement best practices, policies, and stay updated on emerging security trends to enhance the security roadmap.
Skills Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3-5 years experience with firewalls, routers, switches, routing & switching protocols, VPNs in large networks
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN design, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, Palo Alto VPN, F5 LTM, DNS, and troubleshooting skills
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 3-5 years in network infrastructure, cloud networking, or wireless support
Preferred:
• Certifications like CCNP, CISSP, CCIE are a plus
• Strong communication skills
