Network Engineer II - Madison, WI - Contract - $45-55 Per HR
The role involves designing, implementing, and securing network infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The position is remote, requiring residence in Wisconsin, with occasional on-site visits. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance network services and ensure compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network components, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud networks.
- Collaborate with various teams to deliver secure and scalable network services.
- Plan and execute statewide network updates and infrastructure upgrades.
- Optimize and secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and recommend improvements for reliability and security.
Qualifications
- 11 years of experience in designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, including routing, switching, and VPNs.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security protocols.
- Experience in regulatory compliance and network vulnerability management.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
