We operate according to our core values: Safe, Simple, Transparent, Growth, Humble, and Attention to Detail.About the RoleWe are hiring a Network Engineer II to support, maintain, and evolve ASI's network infrastructure across corporate environments and autonomous technology operations. This role ensures high availability, security, scalability, and performance of networking systems that support internal teams, customer deployments, and field validation efforts.Engineers collaborate closely with IT, security, robotics, and systems teams. Scope expands by level from foundational operational support (Level I), to independent ownership of network systems and improvements (Level II), to enterprise architecture leadership and advanced security implementation (Level III). This role is based in DFW, TX and may require occasional support of field deployments or remote sites.Job DutiesNetwork Operations & InfrastructureMaintain and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless systems, and related infrastructureMonitor network performance, availability, and reliability across environmentsTroubleshoot connectivity, latency, and performance issuesInstall, configure, and upgrade network hardware and softwareSupport secure connectivity for remote teams and deployed systemsDocument network configurations, standards, and troubleshooting proceduresNetwork Security & ComplianceAssist with firewall configuration, patching, and security updatesImplement and maintain VPN access controls and segmentation strategiesSupport security monitoring, vulnerability mitigation, and incident responseApply network security best practices aligned with industry standardsAutomation & Continuous ImprovementContribute to network performance improvements and infrastructure upgradesAssist with scripting or automation of routine network tasksParticipate in system upgrades and infrastructure modernization effortsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support robotics and autonomous deployments Collaboration & ExecutionWork closely with IT, security, engineering, and operations teamsEscalate complex issues appropriately (Level I) or resolve independently (Level II/III)Adapt to changing priorities based on deployment schedules and business needsParticipate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement effortsExperience & Qualifications by LevelNetwork Engineer II5+ years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurityBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and enterprise networking conceptsExperience managing firewalls, VPNs, and network security toolsFamiliarity with network monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark)Basic scripting or automation knowledge (Python, PowerShell) preferredCertifications preferred: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalentAbility to independently manage moderately complex network systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting robotics, automation, or field-deployed systemsExposure to hybrid cloud and on-prem network environmentsExperience implementing network segmentation in high-security environmentsFamiliarity with Agile or iterative infrastructure improvement practicesBenefitsASI offers a competitive benefits package, including:401K Retirement PlanPTO and Holiday PayMedical, Dental, Vision PlansLife Insurance OptionsShort-term and Long-term Disability PlansEEO StatementAt Autonomous Solutions, Inc.
