Network Engineer III

Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site. Long-term base at a Lockheed Martin facility in Colorado Springs. Occasional travel to Schriever SFB, Alaska, Guam, Europe, and other deployment locations.
Schedule: Four 10's, Monday-Thursday; Friday-Sunday off; onsite only

Role Overview
Supports the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program as a Network Development Engineer responsible for network buildouts, upgrades, deployments, integration, testing, and operational support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan work within an Agile Scrum team based on customer and contractual requirements.
  • Plan, deploy, integrate, and test Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) network upgrades at operational sites.
  • Travel to remote locations to lead and perform network installations.
  • Independently troubleshoot network issues.
  • Provide status updates to program personnel.

Required Technical Skills

  • Active Top Secret clearance required at start. Clearance must be verifiable in DISS.
  • Hands-on network design, development, and testing experience.
  • OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Firewalls, especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
  • UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
  • Multi-vendor switching/routing with Juniper and Cisco, WAN optimizers, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
  • Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
  • DOD STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NFV, SD-WAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria.
  • Network automation with Ansible.
  • Prior Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) experience.
