Seeking an experienced network technician with 10+ years of expertise in troubleshooting escalated Access and CPE device issues, assessing technology performance, and optimizing network infrastructure. Responsibilities include establishing security, connectivity, and access parameters, testing security systems, programming routers and switches, and managing network services from planning to implementation.
Required skills include advanced knowledge of DOCSIS and EPON standards, hands-on experience with various CMTS, EPON, and switch platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Vecima, Harmonic), and proficiency in routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, and BGP. Strong technical documentation and test plan writing abilities are essential, along with a background in CPE and ONU troubleshooting. Additional desirable skills include creative troubleshooting and familiarity with security technologies.
