Seeking a Network Engineer (Security) onsite in Richmond, VA, to lead enterprise and cloud network design and implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecture & Design: Develop secure, scalable network architectures for hybrid, Azure, AWS, and cloud environments; establish standards for routing, segmentation, and high availability.
- Cloud Networking: Manage Azure Virtual Networks, peering, ExpressRoute, and integrate on-premises with cloud platforms.
- Routing & Core Networking: Design and troubleshoot complex routing with BGP, OSPF/EIGRP, optimizing for performance and failover.
- Security & Firewalls: Manage Palo Alto firewalls, enforce security policies, and collaborate on threat mitigation.
- SD-WAN & Branch Networking: Support Cisco Viptela, Meraki solutions for branch connectivity and policy consistency.
- Carrier & Vendor Management: Liaise with carriers, troubleshoot circuit issues, and oversee deployments.
- Operations & Leadership: Serve as Tier 3 escalation, mentor juniors, maintain documentation, and participate in on-call duties.
Qualifications include 8–12+ years in enterprise networking, expertise in BGP, firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and experience with telecom carriers. Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, or cloud-specific certifications are preferred.
