Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Kansas City, Kansas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco ACI/SDA, Palo Alto Firewalls, Wireless, and VPN environments to ensure seamless business operations.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Provide Level 3 support for enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco ACI/SDA, Palo Alto Firewalls, Wireless, and VPN environments.

• Troubleshoot complex network issues related to routing, switching, wireless connectivity, and security, ensuring timely resolution of production incidents.

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco networking equipment, Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, and wireless controllers (WLC).

• Perform network upgrades, implement production changes, and manage hardware and software lifecycle activities.

• Investigate root causes of recurring network issues and recommend solutions to improve network stability and performance.

• Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams, stakeholders, and business users while providing technical guidance in a fast-paced 24x7 production environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 6-8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering, network operations, and production support environments.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI/SDA, Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSec VPNs, Wireless LAN (Cisco WLC), and routing/switching technologies including OSPF and BGP.

• Proven experience in advanced Layer 3 troubleshooting, production incident management, network security, and supporting mission-critical 24x7 enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
