Role Summary
The Level 2 Network Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing network performance across corporate, retail, and cloud environments. This position is responsible for resolving escalated issues, executing network changes, and supporting infrastructure stability and availability.

In this role, you will perform advanced troubleshooting, support network deployments, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless connectivity. You will also contribute to improving monitoring, documentation, and operational processes while mentoring junior engineers and supporting ongoing network initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Resolve complex Tier 2 network incidents across LAN WAN wireless and VPN environments
• Perform advanced troubleshooting including packet analysis path testing and root cause identification
• Monitor and tune network alerting systems to improve visibility and response times
• Configure deploy and maintain firewalls switches and wireless access points following established standards
• Support SD WAN operations including troubleshooting and failover validation
• Assist with network access control processes including device onboarding and endpoint profiling
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit issues escalations and installations
• Participate in network projects including site deployments refreshes and infrastructure upgrades

Key Requirements
• 2 to 5 years of experience in network engineering or network support roles
• Strong knowledge of TCP IP routing switching VLANs subnetting and wireless networking
• Experience supporting multi site environments and troubleshooting ISP connectivity issues
• Working knowledge of firewall concepts including NAT policies and VPN configurations
• Familiarity with enterprise networking platforms including Fortinet technologies or similar solutions
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly outline issues changes and resolutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non technical teams
