With delivery centers and offices across North America and India, we take pride in building long-term relationships and delivering excellence through innovation, collaboration, and integrity.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Network Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our team supporting an HPE lab environment on-site in Milpitas. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Aruba networking technologies, wireless controllers and access points, and hands-on lab hardware support and a proven ability to perform routine network checks, resolve connectivity issues, and maintain accurate documentation.Responsibilities:Be physically present on-site at the Client's Milpitas lab for all scheduled hours.Work part-time, 20 hours per week. Schedules may be 4 hours x 5 days or 5 hours x 4 days. Hours are flexible.Perform routine network health checks and ensure the environment meets standards.Support employees with Layer 1 physical connectivity and lab hardware setup.Update and improve documentation, diagrams, and processes.Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues in the lab efficiently with HPE stakeholders.Identify potential issues, monitor tasks, and keep status current.Maintain the physical integrity and organization of the lab.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.2+ years of relevant professional experience in networking or lab operations.Hands-on wireless experience with controllers and access points.Knowledge of HPE Aruba portfolio: switching, routing, wireless AP/IAP, controllers, SD-WAN, AirWave, ClearPass, and Meridian.Familiarity with LAN/WAN/WLAN fundamentals and Layer 1 through Layer 3 concepts.Root cause analysis, problem detection, and basic business acumen.Effective communication, attention to detail, ownership, and change management skills. Team-oriented and collaborative with product and support teams.Ability to work independently with minimal direction and manage requests.Preferred Skills:Experience with Aruba Controllers, AirWave servers, and ClearPass servers.Relevant networking certifications and hands-on project work in multi-vendor environments.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
