IT Network Engineer

Full-Time | Salaried Professional
Location: Rochester, WA (Hybrid Eligible – Up to 2 Remote Days Per Week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to support and secure a highly available 24/7 enterprise infrastructure environment. This individual will play a mission-critical role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing network systems that support operational, financial, and customer-facing technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network engineering, cybersecurity, firewall administration, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise infrastructure management. This role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented professional with excellent troubleshooting skills and experience supporting complex, segmented network environments.

This position will work closely with internal IT teams, security leadership, auditors, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure optimal network performance, security, compliance, and uptime.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and administer enterprise network infrastructure, including network hardware, software, wireless systems, and configurations
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, and other network security devices
Implement and support enterprise security solutions and network segmentation strategies
Protect data, systems, and infrastructure through the implementation of network security measures and best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve network, hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Monitor network performance and recommend infrastructure improvements as needed
Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution initiatives
Coordinate network access, permissions, and system connectivity
Design, configure, and test networking software, hardware, and operating systems
Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and operational procedures
Stay current on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and infrastructure best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to support operational and security initiatives
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
4–7+ years of combined experience in network engineering and cybersecurity
Progressive hands-on experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure environments

Equivalent combinations of certifications, education, and professional experience may be considered.

Experience securing infrastructure and protecting data in motion
Understanding of compliance-driven environments and security auditing processes
