Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and secure enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with network engineering, network security, troubleshooting, cloud networking, and enterprise network technologies.

This role will support network projects, infrastructure upgrades, migrations, security initiatives, operational support, and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.
• Participate in network upgrades, expansions, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
• Plan, schedule, test, and implement network changes in accordance with change management processes.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and Internet connectivity.
• Monitor network performance, availability, connectivity, and security events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages, and service requests within established SLAs.
• Configure and maintain network firewalls and security appliances.
• Implement firewall rule changes, firmware updates, and security patches.
• Support secure remote access and site-to-site connectivity.
• Design scalable, secure, highly available, and resilient network solutions.
• Support cloud, hybrid, and on-premises network environments.
• Participate in network segmentation and Zero Trust security initiatives.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, standards, and procedures.
• Document incidents, changes, troubleshooting activities, and solutions.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, application, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical network solutions.
• Evaluate networking technologies, tools, and vendors.
• Participate in risk assessments, technical reviews, and change management activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Communicate network status, risks, issues, and improvements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies such as:
  • Cisco
  • Meraki
  • Palo Alto
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with network requirements gathering, design, development, and gap analysis.
• Understanding of technical design specifications and network architecture.
• Experience with cloud networking and SD-WAN.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Experience designing or supporting high-availability and disaster recovery network solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on reliability and security.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading network projects or teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS networking.
• Strong knowledge of network security frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale network environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or Network+.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Work Arrangement

The position is primarily remote, with occasional onsite presence potentially required for meetings, projects, infrastructure work, or technical support.

Candidates should be comfortable working additional or irregular hours when required and participating in an on-call/support rotation.
