Your Role

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Network Engineer to support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. This role is part of the Network Engineering team and is responsible for ensuring network stability, performance, and availability through strong operational execution and technical expertise. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in troubleshooting, network configuration, and production support, and works closely with Principal and Consultant Network Engineers to implement solutions and maintain reliable network services.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in enterprise networking
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus), Wireless networking (Cisco APs and controllers), Network security (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, VPN technologies), Load balancing (F5 or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of: Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Network segmentation (VRF, VLANs), WAN connectivity and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience troubleshooting production network environments
  • Experience with packet capture and traffic flow analysis
  • Strong operational awareness and incident response capability
  • Experience with Cisco ACI preferred
  • Experience with Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) preferred
  • Cloud networking experience (Azure, AWS) preferred
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) preferred
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) preferred

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain network stability, performance, and availability through day-to-day operations
  • Monitor network health, capacity, and utilization across enterprise environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents across WAN, LAN, data center, and cloud
  • Support service requests including adds, moves, and changes (MACDs)
  • Perform packet capture and traffic flow analysis to diagnose issues
  • Execute network changes in accordance with change control processes
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, including after-hours and weekend work
  • Provide timely incident response and escalation as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors for circuit issues, hardware failures, and escalations
  • Receive and implement build documents and technical designs from Principal and Consultant Network Engineers
  • Configure and deploy network infrastructure according to specifications
  • Provide operational feedback to improve engineering designs and standards
  • Support network migration and infrastructure deployment activities
  • Perform system analysis and interpret data for capacity planning and performance optimization
  • Review and monitor network systems and processes to ensure availability and access
  • Document configurations, operational procedures, and maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate records of network changes and updates
  • Work closely with Consultant Network Engineers on engineering initiatives and deployments
  • Support Principal Network Engineer architectures by providing operational insights and troubleshooting data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and application owners
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of network operations and processes
