Core required skills

Strong Cisco networking experience
Expert understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, trunks, and Layer 2 / Layer 3 design
Experience with IP renumbering / re-IP projects
Experience supporting site migrations, data center moves, or application/infrastructure cutovers
Hands-on experience with physical device installation, cabling, patching, labeling, and migration validation
Experience supporting production migration windows with strong troubleshooting ability
Ability to document migration steps, issues, and outcomes clearly
Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills

Infrastructure / platform skills

Experience with VMware administration or migration support
Experience with Nutanix environments
Experience with Windows server/application infrastructure commonly tied to enterprise apps
Experience tracing application dependencies across network, server, virtualization, and storage layers
Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, firewall dependencies, and authentication/integration touchpoints

Application delivery / traffic management skills

Experience with F5 load balancers including virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, and migration planning
Ability to coordinate application cutovers that require updates to load balancer configurations
Understanding of how application traffic flows change during migration and cutover

Cloud / hybrid skills

Experience supporting Azure Web Apps or Azure-hosted application components
Ability to identify and remediate dependencies between cloud-hosted applications and on-prem infrastructure
Familiarity with hybrid networking and service dependency mapping

Migration execution skills

Runbook development and execution
Dependency mapping
Cutover planning
Rollback planning
Post-change validation
Incident triage during migration windows
Best-effort backlog prioritization when time is constrained
