About the Role

As a Network Engineer specializing in Network Management Systems (NMS), you will support enterprise-scale network tooling within a large financial organization. You will contribute to moderately complex network engineering initiatives, support both engineering and operational activities, and collaborate across teams to maintain, enhance, and modernize network management platforms.

This role primarily supports Security Network Services (SNS) network tooling across voice, configuration management, fault management, performance management, and Wi-Fi monitoring. While initially aligned to Voice tooling, assignments may shift across products and platforms as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Consult on and contribute to moderately complex Network Engineering initiatives and deliverables.
  • Analyze and resolve network tooling challenges by evaluating multiple variables and technical dependencies.
  • Support enterprise Network Management Systems (NMS) for voice and data networks, including:
    • Performance management
    • Fault and configuration management
    • Monitoring and analytics
  • Perform lab support for platform upgrades, migrations, and vendor-led enhancements.
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams on engineering, operations, and tooling strategy.
  • Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with security, certification, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet project timelines and operational goals.
  • Support change management and documentation aligned with network standards and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Network Engineering experience (or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education).
  • Hands-on experience with Network Management Systems (NMS).
  • Experience working in Linux-based environments.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts and operational support.
  • Ability to analyze moderately complex technical issues and recommend effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Linux experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Network Management Systems (NMS).
  • Experience in a large enterprise or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with voice network tooling such as Ribbon Analytics or Ciena MCP.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace or similar).
  • CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
