Overview:

The Network Engineering Lead is responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for the design, performance, and security of Panasonic’s enterprise network infrastructure. This role ensures the availability, scalability, and integrity of global network systems across corporate offices, manufacturing sites, and remote locations. The Network Engineering Lead collaborates with security, infrastructure, and operations teams to modernize network capabilities, enable secure connectivity, and align with business requirements and architectural standards.

Responsibilities:

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

  • Provide strategic leadership for the design and architecture of enterprise LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-connected networks.
  • Ensure secure, high-availability connectivity across office, manufacturing, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to align with Zero Trust architecture and network segmentation strategies.
  • Oversee the selection, configuration, and lifecycle management of network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts for network-related incidents and performance issues.
  • Develop and enforce network standards, policies, and operational documentation across global sites.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service providers, and contracts related to network infrastructure and managed services.
  • Monitor network capacity, performance, and reliability using enterprise monitoring tools and analytics platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement of network security, automation, and visibility initiatives.
  • Assist Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) with requirements gathering, analysis, design, and development of new or enhanced services, ensuring seamless transition to operations teams.


MUST-HAVES: 

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF), firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, or equivalent networking platforms.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, automation, and observability tools.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, segmentation, and Zero Trust design.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud connectivity and industrial OT networks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional leadership skill
  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Preferred certifications include Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent.
