Network LAN SDA Engineer

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

1. 8 to 10 years of professional experience.

2. High-level teaming and communication skills to influence and persuade others.

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and present concepts and recommendations to management.

4. Deep understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing and Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM).

5. Extensive experience on designing and implementing Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access), DNAC with Data Center Networking Technologies and Cloud Solutions.

6. Strong experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools: Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, PagerDuty, Nagios, Thousand Eyes, CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix & Site24x7

7. Deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies including; SDA, DNAC, ISE, VXLAN, ACI, fabric path, Spanning Tree, Virtual LAN (VLAN), and VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) concepts

8. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification

9. Proficient with scripting technologies, including but not limited to Python, Ansible, Perl, and Terraform.

10. Cisco ACI, SDA, DNAC & ISE.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Needs to be confortable leading other Contingent Worker, Partners and site resources to the successful completion of network refreshes

2. Plan, configure, implement and document solutions in a complex network environment in support of new and existing cloud technology architectures.

3. Measurement, optimization, and tuning of network performance and ensuring that systems will run reliably and are highly available.

4. Support a Cisco centric LAN, WAN and WLAN environment. This includes Switches routers, firewalls, security, wireless & ISE.

5. Deep understanding of network orchestration and automation using Cisco ACI, SDA & DNAC with ISE integration, Phyton & Ansible.

6. Build BOM, coordinate resources, track execution, and validate deployment/upgraded equipment/site.

7. Work with various teams to gather requirements, create specifications, and design solution for network LAN projects.

8. Supervise and or performing site installs, maintenance, upgrades or software enhancements to support the network infrastructure needs.

9. Function as a point of escalation for operational entities regarding regular or complex issues.

10. Monitor system for trouble areas and proactively resolve and document root cause.

Experience working Agile methodologies or working as part of an Agile team.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
