Network / LAN Support Technician - Houston, TX 

  • Start Date -July 2026

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Network / LAN Support Technician to support large-scale network infrastructure projects. This role will primarily focus on supporting network cutovers, IDF/MDF environments, LAN infrastructure, and network deployment activities across a complex enterprise healthcare environment.

The site consists of 77 IDF cutovers scheduled over the course of the year, so candidates must be adaptable, technically capable, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support network cutovers and deployment activities across multiple IDF and MDF locations
  • Perform hands-on LAN support, cabling, patching, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Assist with implementation of network engineering scripts and standardized deployment procedures
  • Support switch migrations, uplink connectivity, and network validation activities
  • Work closely with network engineering and project management teams during deployments and cutovers
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure issues onsite
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide status updates during project work
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and scheduling needs in a dynamic enterprise environment

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with MDFs and IDFs
  • Experience supporting enterprise LAN/network infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with network engineering scripts and implementation procedures
  • Ability to follow technical deployment instructions and troubleshoot network issues onsite
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in large healthcare or enterprise environments preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving project requirements

Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Up to 2 evening/weekend shifts per week may be required due to after-hours cutover scheduling
