Monitors and responds to network outage utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques. Performs minor to moderately complex network devices maintenance. Assists with administration of network security.Technical SkillsRequires knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support.Requires Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software. Possess the general knowledge and diagnostic abilities to solve network technical problems associated with maintaining a large training complex network Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and able to work both independently and in a team environment.Must be well-versed in general system administration and networking capabilities including operating system configuration for Windows 10-11 Enterprise, Windows Server 2012-2019, Red Hat Enterprise Linux v6-8, and VMWare ESXi OS v6-7. Must be experienced with analyzing and creating network diagrams that provide port, protocol, and service details. Must be experience with DoD and US Army IAVM tracking and reporting procedures, implementation of Cybersecurity Best Practices and remediation guidance for supported platforms.Desired skills include Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS; dynamic routing; fiber and module operations; GRE tunnel configuration; VLANS and trunking; understanding the OSI model for troubleshooting layer 1 and 2 virtualization.Required QualificationsBachelor's level college degree or better in Information Technology or related fieldDoD IAT Level 2 certification in accordance with DoD Directive 8140 which mandates current professional certification in one of these industry standards: CCNA-Security, CND, or CompTIA's CySA+ or Security+ CE On-sight work location expectation at Fort Drum, New YorkThree or more years of related experience, or 8 cumulative years of related experience to substitute for college degreeSecurity clearance: current SECRET or ability to obtain such clearance which requires U.S. citizenship and a favorable federal background check.IT CertificationsIAT IIIAW 8570.00IAW 8570.01TechWise is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to workplace diversity.
