Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Protection Services Consultant to support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and management of enterprise network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with enterprise networking, security technologies, firewalls, VPN solutions, and data centre environments.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network protocols, including Ethernet, VLAN, MPLS, BGP, RIPv2, IPv4/IPv6, IPsec, DNS, TCP, TLS, NTP, and SFTP.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, and Ciena networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• 7+ years of experience with VMware NSX in enterprise data centre environments.
• Strong expertise in configuring and managing security appliances, including Cisco ASA, Juniper SRX, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 solutions.
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF/ASM), Trend TippingPoint, and DDoS protection technologies.
• Extensive experience implementing and supporting VPN technologies, including IPsec, IKE, DMVPN, AnyConnect, SD-WAN, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Full/Split Tunnel VPN solutions.
• TippingPoint Intrusion Protection System Expert Certification (Mandatory).

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional years of experience beyond the minimum requirements.
• Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure networking services.
• Expertise in network architecture documentation, change management, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Hands-on experience with IPS/IDS technologies.
• Experience with packet capture and protocol analysis.
• Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Perl, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 security controls.
• Experience evaluating, deploying, and managing vendor-managed security services.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions.
• Support firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and DDoS protection technologies.
• Manage VMware NSX environments within enterprise data centres.
• Perform network analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement secure and scalable network solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organisational security standards and industry best practices.
