Network Routing Engineer (Telecom) - 175073

Responsibilities: of the Network Routing Engineer: • Design, configure, and maintain large-scale Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environments. • Troubleshoot and optimize routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS within telecom networks. • Support carrier-grade network infrastructure utilizing Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches. • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex network performance and connectivity issues. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to implement network enhancements and upgrades. • Support SIP and IP-based services while ensuring high availability and quality of service. • Participate in network design reviews, capacity planning, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. • Develop and maintain network documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards. Qualifications: of the Network Routing Engineer: • Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance. • 5+ years of experience in network engineering within a telecommunications environment. • Strong expertise in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other carrier-grade networking technologies. • Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper routing platforms. • Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts and architectures. • Working knowledge of SIP, IP networking, and telecom transport technologies. • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues in large-scale production environments. • Experience supporting service provider or carrier networks preferred. • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
