Network Security Engineer

Lead and participate in discovery meetings to define business requirements and identify potential network changes, security enhancements, and tool implementations to support those objectives.

Support the networking environment and assist in firewall configurations. 

Monitor network security, analyzing and investigating alerts and potential threats. Providing recommendations on remediation.

Analyze network traffic, identify alerts and/or trends on traffic that violate enterprise compliance requirements

Set and manage KPIs for the SOC, network environment, and security projects, driving technical milestones and provide recommendations on how to improve the security posturing and alert management. 

Create trend analysis to support network design and re-design efforts as well as impact/business continuity analysis for any network changes. 

Support audits by ensuring network and security tools meet compliance requirements, implementing, supporting, and documenting controls. 

Strong hands on experience with security analysis and vulnerability management using SIEM and SOAR tool sets

Working experience in an enterprise NOC or SOC with an underlying knowledge of on-prem and cloud networking

Experience with NIST and HIPPA
